Induction Dinner Sees Largest Crowd Yet

The 2016 Hitters Hall of Fame Induction Dinner with Chris Archer & friends drew 1,000 fans who witnessed a historic night of baseball history. Alan Trammell and Dante Bichette joined pitchers Roy Halladay, Billy Wagner and Royals World Champion Pitching Coach Dave Eiland at the award ceremony at Tropicana Field celebrating the 24th annual Ted Williams Museum Induction. Special Guests Hall of Famers Al Kaline & Wade Boggs joined current players Chris Archer, Kevin Kiermaier, Jake Odorizzi, Brando Guyer, Matt Moore and many more. The American league east was well represented with Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and the Blue Jays Chris Colabello. Jake McGee, who was traded to the Colorado Rockies, was presented with a Ted Williams Award for his many years of helping the charity at events around the country. Master of Ceremonies Dwayne Staats was assisted by Dick Crippen and Rays post game host Orestes Destrade. Over 20 past and present players attended the dinner which is billed as the kick off to Spring Training in Florida.
