2014 Induction Dinner Sells Out!

Eleven hundred fans enjoy dinner on the field at Tropicana at the 21st Annual Ted Williams Museum Induction Dinner. Great stories of baseball games past enthralled the fans and the proceeds raised were split between four charities, the Ted Williams Scholarship Fund, Project 14, Ben Zobrist charities, and the Triangle Foundation of Chris Archer. The Class of 2014 included Craig Biggio, Johnny Damon, & Frank Howard. Dwight “Doc” Gooden, James Shields, and Jim “Mud Cat” Grant entered the Pitching Wall of Great Achievement. Claudia Williams, daughter of Hall of Famer Ted Williams, was also in attendance to present awards that included the lifetime achievement award to Don Zimmer. The Dinner was hosted by Ben Zobrist with special guests David Price, Alex Cobb, Grant Balfour, & Chris Archer. Many of the current Tampa Bay Rays attended joining 15 former great players including Denny McLain, Bernie Carbo, Scott McGregor and many more. The Museum was honored to have 3 tables of wounded warriors as our guests along with National Champion Venice High School Baseball Team & the State Champions of Florida Girls softball team of Canterbury School in St. Petersburg. Highlights of the evening included a performance by Julianna Zobrist, wife of Ben Zobrist and the singing of a wonderful world by Mud Cat Grant. We’ll see you at the 2015 dinner!
